This product is good and bad at the same time. however it really only applies to the older generation. the ironing board is simply put... GREAT. very sturdy and the height adjustment is just great as it serves both short and tall height people. however the bad side to this gorgeous and amazing ironing board is the weight, that is the only problem or obstacle that old people may find. It's a bit hefty and can really heavy when your just down right tired. good thing is, is that it folds up pretty quickly so mostly you may having nothing to worry about when storing it. BUT the ironing board is a lot bigger than the picture depicts it to be, WHICH it is a good thing.
I recommend it personally, but if you can't cough up the money to get it, and you can settle for a little unsturdiness and other satisfactory;/inconvenient things, then by all means don't get it. but if you can, I recommend it =D

I purchased the Rowenta DZ1700 for my boyfriend for a gift. He absolutely loves the iron. It makes ironing clothes much easier than the iron that we were using.
It was a bit disappointing that the iron was made in China when many of the other Rowenta's are made in Germany.

We use this iron about 3-4 times per week. I paid for it and after only 3.5 months it is now not working well at all. The auto-off engages within a minute or two of turning on the iron. In order to disengage the auto-off I have to shake, rattle and roll the iron. I called Rowenta customer service and was instructed to mail the iron to their service center in Little Rock, AR. Turn around time? 2-4 weeks. I have to cover the cost of shipping. Rowenta is not worth the money.

I have wanted one of these for year's. I believe the adjective for me would be "anal". My clothes have to be "just so". I am very pleased with the results with this Rowenta steamer. I just wish it would have a way of hanging it on a wall, so that it would be out of the way but accessible.

We tried to use it 3 times and could never get it to work. The first time we filled it to the max line and when we turned it on and the water started boiling it spewed out the top. We let it cool then emptied about half the water. The steam never came out continuously and we waited 6 minutes. It would start spitting water out then steam then it would quit. Third time same thing. This is a huge waste of money!!

I just bought this steamer and am totally dissappointed in it. It just doesn't work. Not enough steam is generated to get out even the lightest of wrinkles in the four garments I tried. All those garmets were either 100% cotton or a cotton blend. All were tumble-dried in the clothes dryer and been on hangers in my closet.
For the amount of time it took to steam out 1 garment, I could have ironed 2 garments with my traditional iron. This steamer is NOT going to save you time or give you wrinkle-free clothes. I'm sorry I bought it. Hoping I can return it to the store and get a refund. Even at .99, it is a waste of money. Please save yourself the hassle and don't buy it.
